Roblox UI Maker & UI Templates

Describe a menu, shop window, inventory panel, health bar or dialogue box — or start from a UI template preset — and GameDevGenie generates the frame art. Drag the 9-slice margins until the corners stay crisp at any size, test it as a button, a pop-up and a full panel, then export it for Roblox Studio, Unity, Godot or the web.

How to Make Roblox UI

  1. 1

    Describe the UI piece

Write what you need or use the prompt helper: Windows & Containers, HUD & Status Bars, Controls & Buttons, Banners & Cards or Lobby & Map screens.

  2. 2

    Generate the frame

The fastest model costs 2 credits per image. Frames are generated with an empty centre so they stretch well.

  3. 3

    Set the 9-slice margins

Drag the slider or pick a preset (8–48 px) and watch the frame resize as a compact button, a pop-up and a full-width panel.

  4. 4

    Export

Download a Roblox ScreenGui (.rbxmx) with ScaleType Slice and SliceCenter already set, a ZIP of the nine slices, or copy CSS border-image code.

Game UI That Scales Without Blurring

Visual 9-slice editor

See exactly where the corners, edges and centre are cut, with the SliceCenter values shown as you drag.

Live size tests

Preview the same frame as a button, a dialog and a full HUD panel to catch stretched corners before you export.

Roblox ScreenGui export

An ImageLabel inside a ScreenGui with ScaleType = Slice and the SliceCenter from your margins.

Exports for other engines

A ZIP of the nine slices for Unity and Godot, and CSS border-image code for web game UI.

Roblox UI Templates

The template presets cover the UI most Roblox games need: windows and containers (shop, inventory, settings and quest panels), HUD and status bars, buttons and controls, banners and cards, and lobby and map frames. Pick one, add your theme — “cyberpunk neon”, “fantasy gold”, “cartoon candy” — and generate a matching piece.

Generate the pieces of a menu one by one in the same style, and you have a consistent UI kit for your game instead of a stock template everyone else uses.

What Is 9-Slice Scaling?

9-slice (nine-slice) scaling splits an image into a 3×3 grid. The four corners never stretch, the four edges stretch in one direction, and the centre fills the remaining space. One small frame image can then become a button, a pop-up or a full-screen panel without blurry or warped corners.

Roblox calls it ScaleType Slice with a SliceCenter rectangle, Unity calls it sprite borders (9-slicing), Godot uses a NinePatchRect, and on the web it is CSS border-image. The margins you set in GameDevGenie map to all of them.

Using the GUI in Roblox Studio

Right-click StarterGui, choose Insert from File and select the .rbxmx. Upload the frame PNG in the Creator Hub or the Asset Manager, then paste its asset ID into the ImageLabel’s Image property — the slice settings are already in place.

What You Get

Roblox UI Maker FAQ

Is the Roblox UI maker free?

Every account gets free daily credits. Generating a frame costs from 2 credits; adjusting the 9-slice margins and all exports are free.

Can I make a Roblox menu or shop UI?

Yes. Start from the Windows & Containers template for shop, inventory and menu panels, or Controls & Buttons for the buttons, and generate each piece in the same style.

What is inside the .rbxmx file?

A ScreenGui with an ImageLabel whose ScaleType is Slice and whose SliceCenter matches your margins. Roblox model files cannot carry images, so upload the PNG and paste its asset ID into the Image property.

Can I use it for Unity or Godot?

Yes. Download the frame PNG and use the margins shown in the editor as the sprite border in Unity or the patch margins of a Godot NinePatchRect, or use the ZIP of the nine slices.

Can I use the UI commercially?

Yes. You own what you generate and can use it in commercial games, subject to our Terms of Service.
