How to Make 8-Bit Music

Pick a mood
Choose Boss Battle, Cozy Town, Dungeon or Neon Cyber, or describe the scene — words like “village”, “dungeon” or “chase” select the matching mood.

Drag the tempo from 60 to 200 BPM and move the whole track to any of the 12 keys.

Mix the stems
Mute or solo the drums, triangle bass, square-wave arpeggio and sawtooth lead while it plays.

How to Add Music to a Roblox Game
Upload the WAV or MP3 to Roblox through the Creator Hub or the Asset Manager in Studio. Then add a Sound object (for example under SoundService or Workspace), paste the audio asset ID into SoundId, turn on Looped for background music, and play it from a script or with Playing.
Because the synth’s WAV loops are seamless, a looped Sound plays them without a gap.
How Chiptune Music Is Built
Classic 8-bit consoles had only a few simple sound channels. GameDevGenie follows the same recipe: a square-wave arpeggio for the harmony, a triangle wave for the bass, a sawtooth lead for the melody and a kick plus a noise burst for the drums.
Because every part is generated from those waves, you can change the tempo and key without the sound getting muddy — and each part can be exported as its own stem.
